In 2009, 2 out of every 10 road deaths were caused by someone drinking and driving. And if you think you won’t get caught for drinking and driving, think again. In an average year in Gloucestershire, 880 people are banned from driving for drink and drug offences.
There’s no foolproof way to stay under the legal limit, or to know how much you can drink and still drive safely. Any amount of alcohol affects your ability to drive safely as your reaction times are impaired and you’re unable to judge speed and distances.
If you lose your licence, you could risk losing your livelihood, your home, your relationship, even your friends… Pledge your support and help spread the ‘None for the Road’ message.
